Focacce and tigelle
We call them Focacce di Santarcangelo, because they bear the names of the town’s streets. The dough is very digestible, because it rises for 90 hours.
The tigelle are made with organic flour from the ancient grains of the Marecchia Valley. All the fillings consist of a selection of natural cured meats from Tenuta Saiano, combined with cheeses from Caseificio Pascoli and seasonal vegetables.
Sweets
Via Saffi 32 is also a cake workshop, prepared fresh every morning by our pastry chefs. The best-loved are the pastries: the Bignè di Santarcangelo with custard and fresh strawberries, and the Bombetta di ViaSaffi with sheep’s milk ricotta and pistachios. Traditional desserts from Romagna are always available: the Romagna doughnut, plumcake with EVO oil, apple pie, scroccadenti and all the desserts that are also served at Osteria La Sangiovesa.
Shop
From Tenuta Saiano you can buy organic wines, vermouths, liqueurs, cured meats, honey, oil. From Sangiovesa you will find our signature piadina, caramelised figs, preserves and vegetables in oil. And our pastry chef’s cakes will always be ready to take away!
